This month, we’re excited to spotlight Eleanor Towne, a talented and dedicated musician at San Diego School of Music! Eleanor plays alto saxophone and piano, takes voice lessons, and sings in the rock band “The Smashed Eggs.” 🎷🎹🎤
 

She’s been taking piano lessons for nearly six years, saxophone lessons for three and a half years, and has been rocking out in band for over a year—now in her third session. One of the coolest things she’s learned recently is how to sing high riffs in her voice lessons, a skill that takes both confidence and control.
 

Inspired by Sia and Myles Smith, Eleanor is also an accomplished performer outside of music. She acts and sings with the Music & Theatre Troupe of San Diego, performs solo roles, and takes improv classes. She’s also a tap dancer at Danceology in 4S Ranch, making her a true triple threat! 💃🎭And of course, her favorite candy is Starbursts! 🍬
