🌟Excellent Job to all of our 2025 Summer Recital & Showcase Performers! 🌟
We'd like to start off by thanking everyone who came out to both our 2025 Summer Recital at the Taiwanese American Community Center, and our Advanced/Adult Student Showcase at Greene's Music!
We saw some incredible talent on stage for two weekends full of wonderful, sweet music! We are so honored to get to display such stupendous pieces to our other performers, families, and friends, and to be able to share in crafting these memories with everyone.
We hope to catch these same performers and more at our 2026 Winter Recital at the Joan Croc Theater in January!

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Joae, a dedicated cellist who’s been taking lessons for just about a year! 🎻
One cool thing Joae’s learned on her musical journey is how playing with dynamics twice as dramatic as you think you should can completely transform a piece—an awesome insight for any developing musician.
She’s inspired by artists like ENHYPEN, New Jeans, Lyn Lapid, and Grent Perez, and when she’s not practicing, she loves drawing, reading, and catching up on her favorite shows.
Also, fun fact: her go-to candy is Nerds Clusters—a perfect mix of sweet and tangy! 🍬
Keep up the amazing work, Joae—we love seeing your creativity come through in everything you do!
Musical Ladder
System ® Achievements
The Santee Music Academy and The San Diego School of Music are the only music schools in the San Diego that give their students the opportunity to earn special colored wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical ladder System®. which has been awarded multiple patients and is being used by schools nationwide.
Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with the smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool "Musical Ladder System®" wristbands that they can show off to their friends.
